I have watched over the last 10+ years really good people being let go for no good reason. Over the last few years managers, Directors, and VP continuously get hired. All having hard to pronounce names. While all the hard working people that kept it all together out in the plants. On the front lines. Working long hard 8+ hour days NOT AT HOME. all during and after so Called Covid are now out on the streets. 30 years... who cares. go pound sand. I had a really good manager to used to tell me, don't let them rent space in your head. I keep that close all the time. He also said, being let go is like the end of a relationship that you didn't want to end. You ask yourself why, what did I do, what could I have done better. Don't, don't let them rent that space in your head. As a person that had to see so many co-workers let go. Being on that end it was like a death. You mourn the loss of that person for days, weeks longer even. We aren't supposed to be Bitter, or angry. Its just business. Its not though. It is people. Human beings. We all have lives. But WFRD does not care about that. Good bye, Farewell. 15 years. Almost

I guess we should see layoffs towards the end of this month so the savings can be booked for Q2 in time.

Manager at Santa Paula facility did lie to good men about raises and openings. All the manager did was work them like dogs. One thing is lying to a man face to face at work, without thinking you will run into the person you lied to in the real world. You might as well walk around with a paper bag on your head. It’s best to keep it real and respectful. I don’t think Weatherford pays managers to lie to men.

@OP — What really gets me is the double-talk about building teams, training, and opportunities. Do not see this happening to the typ employee, perhaps if you're in with one of the VPs or Sr. Managers it does but not for us. Have seen a lot of good technical folks released and cannot figure out why. Staying on the topic, not sure how any of this training is supposed to happen as the headcount continues to go down, yet the work does not. There is no time for it - maybe that's the plan, talk about it and have it there but no one can fit it in?

Last thing that got my attention and just rubs at me, although I appreciate all companies do it, go take a look at who has sold stock so far this year and the money made from it. One example is our CEO selling 100K shares! Hey, all good, but when your cutting throats, bonuses, pay increases, among other things, this is a kick. Seems like it's been a long time since any of the ELT have actually bought stock - confidence in what they are doing? Think about that, they sure aren't betting their own money on it.

@83y Wallingford is still around. They have got to have some dirt on folks to still be in the game after 20+ years. Their cost per man hour has to be through the roof. What do they do up there anyway, fiber optics that we don’t sell? Anything else?

@40y the news is more incompetent managers being hired. Let’s not forget the random satellite facility in Connecticut… what o&g industry is in the northeast.. leadership is more incompetent than the early 2000s. You are just a number

Imagine giving 21+ years of your life dedicated to the company and you get a kick to the a-s. But you show up everyday to work but the lazy ones that supposedly go to “work” stay home and work from their bed babysiting their kids get to stay, good luck with that.

I guess you will last long in the company as long as you don’t have any certs or education be safe oh and you have to work from home don’t come in or else you are next!!!

Girish Saligram, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “With a solid balance sheet, comprehensive technology portfolio, a lean business model, continued investments in our workforce..."

Don't worry guys, you are safe. Girish is investing in the workforce. Unless you're in engineering that's not in India.

Will have to wait until 2026. Everyone is off right now so no time to post anything, need to wait until they are back in the office and reminded how ___ _ it is to work here.

Fill in the blanks, interested to see the positive vs. negative sentiment
