Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Radio silent

It seems that this reorg was mainly corporate. Very little in the field (sorry to those impacted). It went from building consolidation, massive layoffs etc to very few. If this is the end FOR NOW they should announce that.

In the press release mentions supply chain to be cut by year end 2026.

They running the pilot to combine chips and soda in one truck in Texas. If that works. Half of facilities can close.

If it doesn't work, even worse, re franchise and more mass layoffs. Fun year coming up!

The VRP wasn’t Voluntary this time around… Be careful thinking you are safe.

@OP do you think you are safe in the field? It’s not an overnight shift but it’s in the works for fewer of our facilities to be run by PepsiCo employees. Will it be next year or 10 years for your location? Don’t be blindsided.

Where is the January VRP's coming from all of the sudden? I haven't heard that at all from anywhere including this website. Has anybody heard this from a credible source?

When my previous manager was offered and then took the VRP package, she got the offer in January and was retired by June. But that’s because they asked her to stay on extra due to the project she was working on

Where does the VRP coming in January come from. They were rumors about September, then December, and now January. I think people are speculating and the rumor just keeps spreading

@a5 we didn’t get that info in the field. 7000 is huge. Did the VRP offers go out yet or are they in Jan?

Over 7,000 employees were cut. They eliminated an entire division as well as a driver trainers/specialists department of employees. Frontline hiring mgrs eliminated as well. This is not over. More will be cut in March if not enough take the VRP package in January.
