Anyone else required to do handoff work all the way through the 19th? So much for giving us time to look for another job.

@OP Slaving to the last day? -- AD was tearful when severing me. Take care of yourself, take a few days, clean-up what you can Vz wize. Do what you need to do FOR YOURSELF in the next month with severance paper work, financial planning, job search, etc.
AD cancelled all calls for a week. AD went on vacation for 1.5 weeks. AD returns from vacation and NOW wants me transfer knowledge in 10 days to team mates. So selfish, UN-empathetic, and Vz-Centric.
I am relieved that I am exiting this TOXIC and Vz-Centric environment.
Dan needs his brush cleared, cows fed and fences mended. Paypal's gonna pay his pals, after all.

I'm surprised they still have so many people (myself included) working. You would think, to make payroll easier (since when you're paid on the 19th, you're paid through the 20th) that they would announce a garden leave for affected employees, but here I am, running out of my time off options as we approach the end date and thinking I'm actually going to have to work at least 30 hours next week still.

Everyone I know that was impacted is dojgn absolutely nothing , and in fact are not even being asked to do anything. A few extra weeks of pay to satisfy state requirements of notification, but definitley no work. I think most lost system accesses even
Nope! My group is not that organized to have any type of plan, but the Network access was cut off. Just goes to show how inconsistent it all is across the board.

Yes. Still working 12s. Eyes blurry from all the documentation and voice is hoarse from recording videos. Keep having to request access again as they lock down. Still doing migrations. Still working on production. I want this to be over and give me my check. Still in that situation of trying to get someone to take the thing so that at least someone can log into it and check it when I’m gone. But Dan did say things would break. it just shouldn’t be acceptable to have this much access this close to being laid off. I’m not gonna do anything bad but it’s just not it doesn’t make sense to me. Why would you fire people and then still let them have access to production equipment like we know we fired everything, but can you please keep updating our network with our customers on it they really need to adjust this for the future
I told my affected direct reports a few weeks ago that they don’t have to log in anymore if they don’t want to. They’ve got more important things to deal with at the moment.
Use your sick days and personal days. Then use a few more. Schedule all your Dr's appointments while you have insurance. Ask your leader for personal development time. Check how many training hours you are behind. Sign up for volunteer hours. Plenty of ways to get around handing over your job to cheap labor.
Since you are getting PAID FULL SALARY, what do you expect??????? DO the work or GO HOME!
