@q9+1kbvs1kq0. : what business did you open ! Looking for ideas
Not yet (3 months) and the economy has only gotten worse in the second half of the year. Id--tic economic policies like broad, illogical tariffs are starting to make things worse and it’s showing in the economic numbers.
Good luck to everyone.
@e6 Agree, the on line positions often require your graduation dates which is an indicator of age.
Yes, as a 1099 love the freedom. Opened my own business and am much happier. I am lucky however I have health insurance from my spouses employer.
I was incredibly lucky and got a job quickly (within weeks) but I know 2 things- I was blessed to have gotten so lucky and I had spent my career honing my skill in a niche technology just in case something happened to my job.
So yes- there is light at the end of the tunnel and its very possible to find a job at a better company but there's a caveat... you need to stand out from the crowd because the crowd is large.
I was JEd in April and it took a little over 2 months to find something else. But I think the jobs numbers have gotten worse since.
No. Over 60 and even though I am qualified, I can’t get an interview even though I removed items from my resume that give away my age. The company supplied career coach says age shouldn’t matter, but it definitely does.
Took about 8 months. Not the greatest job either.
