I'm done too, this site is toxic. I came to this site for answers, not sure I got any, I did get some peace over Thanksgiving and I am thankful for that. But if you can't talk to your coworkers and instead end up sorting through BS on this site, that's a problem. This place makes no sense, trying to understand it is maddening. People are generally good, but this site and corporations can be toxic, treat people with decency, we don't live forever, make the most of it.

@gh And where is Stern’s replacement, Aragon? He was supposed to have revenue rolling in from subscriptions to mirrors.

Was at a business where the guy was on phone talking how Ford bought back his Ford Mach-E because it was getting out of control almost hitting a wall trice. Mentioned other electrical issues.

Ford is a fvcked up place. Rampant nepotism at the skunkworks with former Apple Cobblers with no experience in automotive given a blank check and a cocky attitude to go with it.

Let’s not forget Peter Stern, one of Doug Field’s buddies from Apple who was hired for no particular reason, did not do anything and quit after a year cashing our $$$.

Bill Ford and Jim Farley big flip floppers on EVs the biggest mistake since the Pinto and Model e should be dissolved and skunkworks along with it.

@dh they wanted to change the culture of Ford to be like a west coast startup. they did succeed in changing it to a toxic, backstabbing environment.

Your romantic view of a company pre globalism and stock market capitalism. Those days are gone and never coming back. The American public (both US and Canada) were sold a bill of goods in exchange for $300 60” TVs. We gave up purpose and security in exchange for cheap sh-t. This ride only goes down from here until we are peak Weimar Republic, then it’s a regime change either brought forth from outside or within. History doesn’t repeat itself entirely but it often rhymes.

@ec yeah, but his offspring will be poor white trash in a generation or two due to the ego and liberal values while those of us in the upper/upper middle (sadly soon to be just upper) class will continue to thrive due to grounded conservative family values.

Fartley makes 25 mil + stocks annualy, Bill and family worth is a couple of billions and they control 40% stake of the company with 100-200 mil profits / year.

We are just little people and servants at will.

@dh All companies go bankrupt eventually, like death an taxes. May as well enjoy the ride.

these once great companies are being hallowed out and cheapened
for a stock price or to shovel money upwards
not that much different than ibm, intel, chevron, ...
this doesn't have a happy ending

I still dream about this place being great someday. There's potential, don't underestimate the power of hope. Admittedly, things have been absolutely terrible. I think there is some hope left for the place, not everyone is terrible, not that they can show it in a place so cold.

@c0 Maybe I should clarify - the ordinary people don't su-k, the leadership team does mostly su-k.

Everytime I see JF, he always looks uncomfortable. Don't know, you can only fake it for a while.
