Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Indian office benefits >> US Office Benefits

Chevron India is offering their people 2x days a week in the office. I just heard that they plan to keep these, even as US Payroll are being forced to work 4x days a week in office.

So much for "better together"

... personally, if the I'm going to write to Management to try and get India 4x days in office too (including Monday). Fair is fair

@ey, Not sure that's even possible considering how little you work now.

@df if I don’t get a raise, I will raise my salary by working less hours.

Rumor has it the MW and ELT are designing a musical chair competition, with the assigned seats on the chair configuration. All you folks in Houston better work on your 40 yard dash and agility. This is the closets ELT can get to being "agile".

Clearly Chevron wants to promote growth in India and attrition in the United States. Expect an underwhelming bonus this year to complement the layoffs, benefit reductions, PSG shrinkage, unassigned seating, and all the other awfulness created by the executives.

@aw evidently there isnt enough space in Houston either. If there was, we would have assigned seating

Taking away benefits is to encourage employees to leave before the next round of layoffs. This is your clue to look for something better in 2026. India has different requirements as they don’t have enough space for the staff, so 2 days a week is the only option.

Benefits are local. There are some locations that never had 9/80s while the US has had it for years. However, it is tough to swallow when benefits are reduced or taken away.

@OP Is the company values offshore then let them figure out how to do things themselves. No more asking for help. Tell them the wrong thing or play d-mb. This is short term for us anyway
