Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Stock price

Under 63 today. Everytime the stock gets a little love and hits around the 72 mark, it falls back down to below earth. Market is at an all time high while nike is reaching 5 year lows. Unbelievably horrible performing stock. When will this change? The days when it hit 170 seems like a lifetime ago.

Thinking of selling my last remaining stocks , I really don’t have trust that this is going up above 80$in the next 5 years. Sad but The brand is not hot anymore.

how MF can keep his job as a CFO who oversaw several disastrous reorgs and malinvestments is something that my liberal worldview fails to understand lol

NKE shares delivered a total return of approximately -41% over the roughly five-year period, compared to the S&P 500's robust +113% return in the same timeframe.

What happened to all those capex investments that havent returned a single dime?

SKIMS collab sounded the death knell for Nike. The writing is on the wall for EH and his renewed leadership team.

@OP stock looks like it’s heading back down to high 50’s territory. The once darling of Wall Street and the sports & fitness industry has become a stale brand with minimal innovation and limited new consumers. Nothing appears to be fueling growth and demand. When you have to rely on increased prices and RIFF’s to fuel revenue + cr-p like SKIMS, you know you have a problem.

It’s been like this for longer than most if you realize. In past, few leaders used to build fake teams, now all of SD and VP build large teams with no real deliverables in business and technology

@a8 Rusty and crusty anchors indeed. If HR actually did their job and got rid of cr-ppy leaders we might see some motivation and a true passion for what the company use to stand for. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Leaders building fake teams to elevate themselves. No morals and no integrity! It’s embarrassing. There is zero ROI.

Above $80 espp and options, LOL. The fun never stops.

Some prominent Nike figure said…”Stand for something even if it means something something”.

Nike mission is strong and we have to ride this out.

Just kidding. Su-k it up just like other local company, Intel.

nike is a 40$ stock

incompetent leadership = no turnover

EH should just go to maralago and kiss the ring

@a3 tell that to an employee with espp shares and stick options above 80. They are way underwater. Even espp shares purchased at a 15% discount and at the bottom for said period are under water. There was a time where both forms of comp were a huge perk. Now they are rusty anchors at the bottom of the sea.

Buy at 63 and sell at 72, it’ll feel like all time high.
