Anyone with old vmware / Broadcom shares what are you doing?
I've over 100 from when I left and thinking of selling them but not sure when they keep going up

Oh SNAP!
I have no food!
Mark the date when S&P hit 6660.00 which was last week.
The big short Dr Burry has had enough. The index hit 6660. The beast is here.
Oh SNAP! I have a farm and a bit of gold. This city will starve.
I sold and bought gold in my home country. It doubled in 18 months and I can buy a ticket and fly back home anytime. Most people have to go back home soon. I sleep better at night.
I was a 19 year VMware employee, EUC, left in April 2023. I cashed out my last shares just before the acquisition finalized, I got cold feet and thought it wouldn't go through and VMW would crash to $35. Had I held, I'd have made significantly more in AVGO than what I invested the VMW proceeds into. But I had myself convinced the acquisition would fail.
Keep what you can defend. Shares or food.
Anyone with significant shares have been targeted. They won't exist for too long. They got the right variant in them already. There were three different batches.
Sell and never regret
Don't sell and never regret
If you need the money it will come to you
Only 100 shares is Monopoly money. Let it ride.
VMware pushed the deathh jab on everyone. How much longer are you going to be alive? How much more do you need?
I was a 16-year VMW employee who left 6 months after the BC acquisition. Over the years my strategy was to sell VMW RSUs as they vested and re-invest the proceeds into more diversified holdings. However at the very end of my tenure I kept my final tranche, which converted to ~260 AVGO shares. I've held that ever since and at this point figure why not see where it goes?
This train keeps rolling
Ask to get the actual stock document, all 100 of them. Then fold them each 10 times until you have a nice big wad of stock, and shove it up HT’s àhole. Leave you hand in there for good measure.
Keep them long term. Forget you own the 100 shares unless you have something important to do by selling them.
Just "time the market" and you'll do fine
@OP: You could wait it out, see if it climbs up to 400 and then sell... but then it could go the other way and crash real bad. So it depends. Are you a gambling man/woman? If no, what stops you from cashing out now? Still a decent return if you ask me. Anyway just my 2 cents worth...
Take your amazing 100 shares and give them to HT, our glorious leader deserves it more than you.
All hail HT
