class action lawsuits due to the nature of previous financial reporting?

The person responsible is in charge of a big part of the government. So no.
@OP tons of them - re financial reporting - Several banks and Credit Unions suing over security and a federal qui tam / false claims case. However it is not just the quantity of suits but the scope that ought to be concerning.
Already plenty of suits going on, this might fuel some more.

you have to wonder how many new customers would want to work with a financially unstable vendor
