Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Another sleepless night on the way

Sundays are the worst when it comes to any hopes of restful sleep. Another surprise meeting? More changes (discussed secretly for months) out of the blue? Continued silence in reply to repeated pleas for explanation or help?

I’ll be gone soon. Until then, I’ll continue enduring the Loki-driven whack-a-doodle nonsense.

@OP: I know the feeling. I’ve pushed and sought for answers several months, if not the past year. No response from leadership, no real plan either. Don’t let Loki and the current situation beat you. I too will be gone soon.

@OP It really is a shame Humana has caused mental anguish and human suffering to so many workers.

As an aside but somewhat related. Health Insurance, especially Medicare and Medicaid, really should be removed out of hands for profit private insurance companies. There simply is not enough governmental oversight on these companies and yet they benefit from to governmental funding. For profit companies like Humana, United Health Group, Elevance Health (Anthem), Cigna, etc. are having their cake and eating it too!

And it is the members that suffer. And also their employees too.

I get where you’re at. It used to be the same for me. I would get anxious Sunday evening around 6 pm and would be dreading Monday morning. When your job affects your mental health, it’s time to break up.
