I doubt the higher ups would announce more layoffs so close to the holidays. They probably want to avoid the negative press that would come with it.

@2td I’ve been saying this exact thing. Too many in management. Who is going to do the work?
This post did not age well. Nostradamus, you are not.
Too top heavy. Are managers and directors going to be doing the work?
Well, that comment didn't age well. 62 people get let go 6 days later. Maybe more today since it's a payday Friday....
The next few weeks could be big for layoffs, I'm shocked many didn't come before. I think some will be done before the holidays, but then Q1 and/or Q2 next year could also be big if they don't do a lot soon, so no safety any time soon. The place is a bloated company with way too many managers/directors and hire ups.
@aq I am afraid this is going to be the big one. If they are shooting for IPO in Q1/Q2, downsizing has to happen soon. I doubt they stay under 100 layoffs this time around. Good luck.
Rumors of more on 10/31.
There was only one public layoff and that was done for optics. All the other ones were for just under 100 people and no press was involved. That's the standard practice across Fannie and Freddie and will continue. Next batch is just a matter of time.
@OP exactly what folks say right before the hammer drops
If that helps you sleep tonight, cool. I’m sure you are right. Good night, pleasant dreams.
Layoffs are no longer negative press, in fact it signals a lean enterprise with low overhead. Would probably boost the IPO this admin is aiming for
