I'm in New York this week and a friend of mine works at Goldman and said in their model they "departner" people every few years. That way you don't have someone with a nothing job making millions of dollars. If Jones is serious they will look at that. It would have prevented all the "retirements". Too many people without real jobs adding nothing who are millionaires off the backs of everyone else.

@ba KJ is in general one of the biggest POS's on ELT.
It also doesn't help any of her people produce results when she constantly calls audibles after reading a new Harvard Business article or seeing a LinkedIn post. She's clueless.
My bad , you we’re talking Gp partnership
@OP you must be doing some drinking in New York. No one at Jones with a “nothing job “ is going to be making millions of dollars regardless of partnerships.
Take a look at KJ’s direct reports. Proven track record of not delivering yet given opportunities to lead again. Get rid of those bloated salaries and that useless layer first. “Departner” the heck out of it then we may get somewhere.
Agreed, but we also need to stop promoting new people to GP only because they are likable. It’s how we end up with fluff GP jobs in the first place. So many examples.
