Moving leadership to India?

"I’ve been in meetings with very senior leaders and they are hunting through the ranks of B9-10 and D to find folks to let go to make room for higher bands in India."

Some years ago managers were told to knock down peoples review ratings to reduce and eliminate bonuses. My manager sc--wed me lying like a rug. With everything said I stood my ground and requested on my comments on the review meetings with everyone she said tore me down. Of course that never happen cause she said that was confidential as if I didn't know the people she said

In Canada, immigration growth has been from India and Philippines. We now have a million of them each. They have surpassed Blacks and Chinese as visible minorities. IBM sc--wed me over twice. I will always hate IBM forever and I will never buy Lenovo because it was IBM's Thinkpad and IBM still has a % invested in Lenovo. Sorry, still bitter at how I was treated by IBM. Cruel and nasty.

@ew is correct, but it's less than every two years. It's why the India equivalent of number Bands also have "a" and "b" versions in India (6a, 6b, etc). It's a superficial caste-based society where relative status is everything.

So usually in India if you don't promote somebody every 2 years they usually walk. Now I am not saying if this is good or Bad, just putting out the fact. I have managed people in India, and if they dont have a new job title every couple of years, then they start looking around. We have to make up titles in a company I used to work for just to maintain the apperance of promotions (associate analyst, junior analyst, analyst, senior analyst, principle analyst, assiociate consultant etc etc etc)

Why stay in reddit ? because it's out of sight for more people who visit this site to get the truth about IBM's inconvenient and poorly executed US layoffs ?

Don't you know that the truth shall set you free ?

Another conversation that could have stayed in reddit.

What a surprise ? Not at all. It's turning out to be Indian Business Machines after all. It will be interesting to see how Consulting, Marketing and F&O make out in a reorg of reorgs. Alvind is nothing but a cheap Indian hu----r posing as an intelligent CEO, which he obviously isn't.
