And things just keep getting worse, in every way imaginable. I wonder if they'll ever figure out that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results?

I mean, by that definition, true insanity is doing the absolute same thing (business as usual) and expecting equal or more revenue or growth. The problem with the constant reorgs and changes is that they simply aren't getting it right and are making some REALLY d-mb decisions, not that they are trying to constantly change.
I've been at this company for (too) long already. Reorgs are nothing new under the sun and if you can't take them, I highly suggest you look for another job just because of that reason. Dell does reorgs no matter whether times are good or bad, he-l, I'd even argue that there were more of them before all of this sh-t went down.
As to your question whether they'll figure anything out? Absolutely not. If you've been around long enough you'll start noticing a pattern, they re-use old ideas over and over again. Something failed miserably years ago? It's been enough time to just do it again even if the end result will be the same. Does anyone care? No.
I can only imagine this will only accelerate as more and more senior people are let go, so the few that has been around and has some form of integrity are no longer there to tell them the "been there, done that" story.
We don't know the plan. We are just living through it. I'll bet if they ever revealed the plan, we'd still be ticked off. It is amazing that this behavior is going on across most of tech.
Layoffs will continue, and with that, reorganizations will follow — creating a loop that won’t end until the company can demonstrate the kind of market cap that justifies its valuation. Most of what’s happening now was planned six to eight months ago.
