Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Separation package and MEET/DOES-NOT-MEET rating

Are separation packages still being used within the bank?
For the first time I got a dos-not-meet rating during my mid-year review, thinking they are preparing for a layoff without the package - what do oyu think?
Is that true that when you get DOES-NOT-MEET - you are not eligible for a PACKAGE...

@OP+1k5ykabbw - honey, wake the F up. There is No Severance and heck no d@mn package awarded when you are rated DNM.

DNM is the first card played in setting you up for being flat out Fired For Cause.

No Severance. No Package. Nada. Niente. Buh-bye.

As a manager, it gives me cause to can you. (will I? probably not, b/c they make it too hard to get the FTE slot back.)

So I will just scare, intimidate you and make your life he!! until you just leave on your own. For Free.

People who get packages are those who are decent performers with decent ratings who could sue the Bank for unjustified job loss. The package is to pay you off so you don't sue. if you are DNM, you better get your act together or find a new gig in the bank or elsewhere B4 they kick you to the curb For Cause.

Managers can enter mid-year ratings, but they are not required and most do not enter them.

@aj thinking about it, you are correct. midyear reviews should not have a rating.

If you’re out on a Performance Improvement Plan then plan to be fired.

Have you received a written warning for anything? If yes they can separate you with cause.
