Heard today that all STM positions will be phased out by January 2026.

I’ll be cancelling my membership as this move effects a family member.
This was a sh-t move by this company. Now they offer them for 15. After they raised them from 20 to 25 earlier this year. Oh wait remember stm was the new focus of this year? Yeah they su-k.
Yes we were told we would have answer today Oct 22 as far as our last day and severance package but now they told us to wait longer, we have know for over a month. Not cool just saying. I need to plan my life.

Club focus changed to digital long ago. Our competition is Amazon not other stores.

Which stinks, because they sit at the desk and do the sign ups and membership people lose their numbers because they leave them only returns.
The world is going digital folks. If you all recall back in 2017 the company opened the very first SCAN & GO Club in Lower Greenville, in Dallas, Texas named SAM'S CLUB NOW. A smaller sized Club focused on grab n go items. Literally like two mini aisle with short steel. Zero cashiers. Zero self checks. Even digital signage. Then last year they re-opened the Grapevine, Texas Sam's Club. Modern tech designed Club also no cashier or self checks. Many more are being re-designed and having re-Grand Openings like that in North Texas. Embrace the technology. It's here and it's staying.
@OP I wonder what position will open for membership sales since we are a membership club and we make our income from membership. Maybe the membership desk will go back to an actual membership desk.....
@p1 no, they are the sales & training manager, they are supposed to be out selling memberships 80% of the time, in club 20% training associates on selling credits and plus/upgrades.
Is the STM manager the front end manager?
Confirmed. All sales and Training Managers are being phased out Oct. 22nd. Last day of the position is Jan. 31st.

Yes, this is true. It's crazy it seems like they're focusing so hard on tech... I get it but please firts get stronger wifi system if you want us to continue using the app. Especially for gas 90% of the time doesn't work.
