Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

Lull before the storm

It's been two weeks since the acquisition, and while things have been running smoothly, no major announcements have been made to employees. I sense a calm before the storm and am preparing for what's to come.

I believe the layoffs would happen before any raises kick in. Which would be in mid October to mid November.

@OP I wouldn’t expect too much to happen until after the holidays. Vaccine push, flu season, holiday sales, etc. After that, who knows? Sycamore didn’t acquire Walgreens to save jobs. It’s all about how much “value” they can extract from what’s left of Walgreens. Squeeze the lemon until it’s dry.

Pessina has owned Walgreens since 2014 and continues to own Walgreens. He has more tools now to use though.
