@ac sweetheart, you really thought you said something smart, huh?
Newsflash: the hospital ward where I volunteer only allows weekday shifts. I even use my PTO sometimes because, unlike you, I actually care. Not every cause is a Saturday bake sale for IG likes. So while you’re out here acting like volunteering is just for ‘photo ops,’ some of us are showing up where it’s inconvenient, uncomfortable, and badly needed. Again, talk for yourself, because you clearly have zero idea what real volunteering looks like.

Do you really need Corporate VTO to do good for a cause?
You know you can still volunteer on your own time, right? Like… weekends, when your boss isn’t watching, and you’re not wearing a branded T-shirt for the photo op.

VTO is really useless anyway.
Our company just announced we’ve racked up 5,000 hours of “volunteer time off” this year. Sounds noble, right? According to the PR team, we’ve been out there “helping the community” — mowing the grass at cemeteries no one visits, sweeping parks no one plays in, and assisting in “local unfortunate people’s houses” (which sounds suspiciously like they mean fixing Steve’s Wi-Fi).
Translation: We got one Friday off to pick up litter while a photographer followed us around like we were contestants on Extreme Makeover: PR Edition.
But hey, we made the brochure look good, and that’s what really matters in the world of “corporate voluntarism.”
