I got comfortable during the good years, then just kept adapting as the crises piled up. Now I realize I’m completely fed up. And of course, it hits me at the worst possible time, when the options out there are practically nonexistent. I have no one to blame but myself for waiting this long, but that doesn’t make it any easier to swallow. It feels like I’ve wasted years hanging on, and now I’m stuck in a place that does me no good whatsoever, and will most likely only get worse. I’m just ranting here, but I suspect the vast majority of us feel the same.

I'm sooooo happy I left long before this circus came to be.
I feel bad for you people.
Not.
You should of seen it coming.
So when your co-workers were telling you Intel is a scam what did you say to them? Did you snitch to your manager on them instead of listening to them?
@b2 now you want to focus on work ?? Tf were you all these years mo-o
Yeah, let's spend all day letting the world know our trolling thoughts, instead of focusing on our work.
What could go wrong?
Unless you actually worked while at Intel and took on the initiative and led projects, your career at Intel has been a complete waste. There is no ROI expect for the paychecks and 401K. You have gathered no marketable skills by staying at a company that has been downhill and the joke of the tech industry for years. I bet most of you are even ashamed to tell anyone you work at Intel.
Same here. New to tech when I started at Intel. I didn’t grasp the full magnitude of how cooked it actually is, and this didn’t go hard into a job search before the music stopped.
One thing is for sure: I hate my-f*ckin-self. Crazy how you can go from grad school to worthless, unemployable garbage in less than a decade.
Don't fret. IC design and manufacturing is entering a new era. Finding work, if necessary, won't be difficult.
@aj the same person also posts
Ho-s bee lion
I don’t believe…
Red stapler
Etc…
I think it’s actually an Intel person and not a bot since they don’t have the rudimentary skills to code up a bot.
So they sit and manually post all this garbage 24/7 as if anyone cares.
@a5 appears to an Indian who just watched D-mb and D-mber on TV after 30 years of its release. Liked the line and is using it on each post. This one dosent even make sense. But hey, thats the quality of Intel
@a6 actually it was a gen z idea and a millennial implemented it. The gen z couldn't be bothered to do any work...
@a5 what boomer made this stupid ai bot that keeps quoting 1 line from a 30 year old Jim Carey movie. Jesus that gets old.
@OP So you're telling me there might be a chance?
I feel you OP. All the little bullsh-t things like the recognition card, the sabbatical, qpbs ect...was a lot of carrots that were dangling over our heads. While it was nice, I can't help but realize all that was too good to be true and was not sustainable. I'm just happy I was able to enjoy those things for a while, id gladly take a 9-5 with stability over Intel at this point though and understand that those days are long gone.
Live and learn. Like @a1 said, do your job and work towards a way out.
Do your job, collect your pay check, and continue to look for a way out. Giving up or giving in will only make the situation worse. Life doesn't end with Intel unless you make that choice.
