Reported favoritism, harassment, retaliation and hostile work environment to site HR with zero results. New plant manager seems pretty amazing, grounded and approachable. Is it naive to believe he would be helpful if I opened up to him?

@2gg multiple hotline calls, ethics calls, talks with 3rd party lawyers, so far it's fallen on deaf ears. Seems like they are discriminating against the older generation and trying to push them out to make way for the new crop of corporate a$$ kissers.
Call the hotline. That will bypass site HR and Leadership.
Any suggestions on EEOC attorneys in Houston?
@12x He’s tone deaf at best. Hiring new employees in unnecessary positions in organizations already bloated on the org chart while letting experienced and knowledgeable long term employees be walked to the gated amidst the lay off. Are you kidding me? That clown is one of the biggest failures of leadership in cpchem and I hope he meets the same fate as his brother at P66.
@12v I second everything you said! The guy is an absolute loser and a spineless weasel for sure. He’s more suited for the nursing home than the workforce! If cpchem doesn’t get rid of him, then there is no hope.
@d0 you cannot talk
To the plant manager at Borger
That’s who they are calling Biden. That guy takes the cake on sc-mbags. Then compound It with his behavior that he’s smarter?! That guys a loser. He can’t even say he made it because he’s plant manager of a dung hill
@s7 R- on B iden! Lol that’s so true. The downfall was before him though. Mi ke was a sc-mbag. He did everything he could to push blame elsewhere.
It’s how he made executive VP after having a disastrous year. Others have mentioned the me sh leak. Others have mentioned the tumultuous relationship with the refinery.
But one thing for sure is the managers and superintendents at B G R are a joke.
P66 fired R ons brother for being a clown and he Vowed to get them back.
@d0 I hope your not referring to Ron Biden. He has done nothing for that plant but continue to push an agenda. Not his agenda but ops management agenda. He is not involved with employees or hardly ever seen unless it's for a photo op. What used to be a family oriented facility, a couple of outsiders has destroyed. Any relationship hourly and company had together has been terminated. All because someone wants a feather in their cap but I guess it's all in how it's "interpreted"!
I hear all of you loud and clear. What options does one have when there is irrefutable favoritism, bullying, rampant gossip to malign good workers, retaliation for speaking up and other morale and reputation harming behavior?
@qc This is almost universally true in Corporate America. No different at CPC.
@OP Do NOT talk to HR. They will flag you. HR is not there to help you! They are not your friend! They are the arm of LT. Even the 1800 number can not help you. Nothing good can come from talking to HR! They are watching. Be careful.
Unsure of which facility you are in, but you can absolutely trust the Plant Manager at Borger.
If you are talking about who I think you are - yes please talk to him!
@bf it is safer to trust no one. Remeber you are a fish in shark infested waters.
You can trust the Plant Manager at Cedar, outside of that I can't speak for the other sites.
HR is not your friend. They are the shield of the managers and vp. Nothing will get done. They will pretend to listen and then file it maybe. I would advise against talking to HR. They may use it against you and see you as the problem.
Here we go again. HR is never there for YOU. Know it. Learn it. Live it.
