Why is upper management still saying, even after the town hall this week, that they plan to hire more people once those taking retirement leave? Are they referring only to “outsourcing”?
Many employees are upset. Frustration has been building since the WFM changes, increased micromanagement, and the obligation to sell CenterWell Pharmacy services, along with the constant “rolling with resistance” message for those members that refuse changing pharmacies. Members are receiving nonstop calls, and staff who speak directly with them report that clients hang up daily, expressing how upset they are about the repeated contacts.
Many people I know are scared and do not know what to do regarding the ERP and/or whether there will be RIF this year. The organizational climate is at rock bottom, and for many, it is directly affecting both their work performance and their well-being.
Since last year’s STARs fiasco, the workload has grown even heavier. In some cases, managers have asked employees to call imaging centers to schedule mammograms without going through the primary care provider. Employees are burned out, feel misled, and believe they’re being used.
