Anyone else feel like we are being forced to celebrate the acquisition when it comes with strife, low morale, hiring freezes, rumors of RIFs. Etc etc. Even the Cigna folks would rather not be here. Who sold them this con? Trump?

@d4 Only someone who actually personifies idiocy would try to silence people concerned with an organization they are working for would say dont comment or share...sometimes over the top, but the fact that this avenue is being taken to share feelings is important vs fear or better said distrust in any company surveys. Folks recognize it is rigged from the perspective of surveys, which is sad, but true unfortunately.
@x6 wrong.
@vh they will be telecommuters. Their jobs aren’t going away. The company wont pay rent on those building locations any longer. That’s it.
HCSC leadership has zero vision. They spend all their time fence sitting and locked into some weird hierarchical approval spiral that never ends.
@r1 they will be remote until they want to apply for any other job within HCSC or move down the street where they can be hit with the "you must live within 250 miles of an office" but wait, we closed all the offices near you, so tough luck for you.
@r9 right?! And continue to fund the $22M paycheck coming eyeroll IYKYK
What other Cigna/Healthspring markets will end this year? Any thoughts??
@OP HCSC doesn't have to report to shareholders like Cigna did. Meaning they dont have to answer to Wallstreet and have huge amounts of money, which they can use to execute current leaderships thoughts on how the world should work...not based on merit or market demands. This gives them time and money to sc--w around with members money. It will take some time, but as with every Marxist attempt at forcing markets to comply with idealistic authority, will fail.
@qd They will be able to work remotely full time. They are not out of luck, as you suggested.
Closing Cigna / healthspring offices in Alabama.... So what does that mean? People who conveyed who happen to live in Alabama are sh-t out of luck?
@jr conveyed cigna employees can't apply to cigna jobs for 18 months post transition....
@d4 is that your Shannon?
@as Cigna has jobs posted. What keeps you from applying?
That’s like wanting an ex back that didn’t think twice about losing you.
@d4 You must work in either HR or upper managementm, or you're just a troll. Clearly, Cigna folks did not know the fresh he-l they were in for with the acquistion, particularly with all the nefarious prestidigitation/legerdemain. It's been just over 4 months since the transition. It's unrealistic to expect folks can find a job that's a better fit in that amount of time.
@d4 What is wrong with you? Why bother being on here if you are so happy?
Maybe this thread should be called the HCSC Derangement Syndrome Sanitarium for wacky id--ts unhappy with their lives. So empowered to make anonymous and stupid statements, yet, unintelligent enough to find other employment and happiness in their own lives. So smart they could run this or other companies with their wisdom (and one hand tied behind their backs). Just somehow they are not being recognized for their own business and EVEN political wisdom. LOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!!!!! Face it. You are all losers. I love it. Keep up the entertaining value of your idiocy and conspiracy theories.
And you will smile when you get no bonus due to the financial disaster this acquisition is! Opella should be canned for this debacle.
As a Cigna person, I couldn't agree more. Myself and my co-workers are not happy, either. We hate that we are now hourly, our job descriptions were downgraded from being professionals (though we have to be licensed), we lost PTO days, along with the non-stop lies and gaslighting from HCSC leaders and HR, resulting in an overall feeling of instability, betrayal, and untrustworthiness of HCSC management. "Leadership," truly an oxymoron in this company, is sneaky and slimey as he-l. What are the rumours about RIFs, pray tell? Personally, I am hoping for a voluntary RIF, with 2 weeks per year of service severance, next March around the acquisition anniversary date.
Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) seems to be your biggest problem. Not certain what that comment had to do with anything here. Nonetheless, you are just an unhappy person. Put your efforts to better use and find another job. Everyone around you will be much happier including, maybe, yourself.
