Such Poor Taste

I’m an HC associate and yesterday Suzan sent out the HC Newsletter. Not sure if she even writes these, but it was in such poor taste. Rather than highlighting and thanking the 500+ associates who will start to depart next month, she kicks off by stating she hopes we and our families are having a lovely summer.

No lady we are not! You’ve put us through the wringer for six months with this cr-p and we still don’t have answers we need.

I’m all for ISP and would like to leave the firm whether I get it or not, but LET US KNOW. I’m sure they were hoping for natural attrition, but this associate wants severance!

HR is a mess…do your job and stand up for those that helped you get your title and role! Where are the market benchmarks? Some groups have been waiting 8 years. Where did job architecture land? When are all the pay increases for level 13-15?

Once again, HR is a disappointment to this firm as they can’t perform their duties!

@tq seriously. You're upset about hurtful words as general partners play god with people's careers and livelihoods. I make a fraction of what Suzan makes in a year, I don't feel bad for her or any general partner.

@tq get off your high horse. The current environment makes it unsafe for people to express differing opinions let alone express disagreement at work. Most of these comments are asking for firm "leaders" to step up and and actually display some leadership.

@OP Especially during times of challenge and stress, I’m disappointed to be at a firm and part of a division that turns to posting unkind comments online as a mechanism to express frustration and as a coping strategy to navigate fear and uncertainty. Remember - there are real people who are impacted by what is posted here. This thread is hurtful and divisive. Words matter. Your words matter. Furthermore, these comments are in direct contrast to who we say we are and want to be as an organization. I hope you find the peace you’re seeking after lashing out with only partial knowledge and a failure to take the high road. Let’s please do better.

She continues to be completely out of touch they won’t even put her on stage to talk about ER because she is so bad. For some strange reason PP thinks she is qualified to still lead HC.
