Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

Remember at F5

You are nothing more than a row on a spreadsheet. That is your value.

@64r Still employed. But I know that could literally change any minute. Doesn’t worry me the least. I’ve been RIF’d before. And I expect to be RIF’d again. Companies lay employees off. Get over it. I don’t owe F5 my loyalty, and I don’t expect them to owe me any. If a better job came along to any of us, would we refuse it out of loyalty to F5? Nope. Move on. F5 has already.

You’ve never been RIF’d? All makes sense now.

@t6 The more time they waste crying about it, the longer it’ll take them to find new employment. I wouldn’t even be on this page if I was laid off, I’d be submitting applications or completely enjoying life. They will regret the wasted time they spent here. F5 is done with them, time for them to be done with F5. It’s that simple.

Keep in mind, no job is permanent. I'm sorry your position was eliminated. Things change, it's a part of life and survival, especially in Tech arena. Utilize your time and energy on searching for a better next organization to work for, hopefully better that the F5 you remember. Best wishes!

@OP like in any corporation you are a resource just like a printer, desk or a coffee machine. Listen how they think about you. Listen.

@t6 We must together. Work together. To see where we are. Where we are headed, where we are going and our vision for where we should be. But also see it as a moment to, yes. Together, address the challenges and to work on the opportunities that are presented by this moment.
