Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Biometric on phones and devices instead of passwords

Looks like Windstream is probably low on cash as it’s almost a given some will quit or refuse to comply with the new biometric requirements on work devices. This will allow Windstream to just fire people and bypass the layoff process. On its face though, Windstream has already broken the law in several states by not requesting consent or providing information up front as to why, how it will use the information and how long the retention policy is. In states requiring consent, they can’t fire people who do not consent. Not sure if this email only went out to CLEC employees or if ILEC also received it. I find it highly unlikely the bargaining side of the house would have approved such a measure.

Optional for now anyway. Just like the "Optional" Covid shots, they pushed and pushed and pushed down to the wire of the SCOTUS ruling. Never forget, never forgive. Directors and above were mandated to get them by TT and cohorts.
