Is it wrong that I’m actually hoping to be laid off, even with the job market the way it is?

@kr why would you say I am a liar? We were definitely told! We have outsourced people currently doing the work also.
@pr Calm down, the company is still profitable. No one's going bankrupt. Layoffs will happen though, so if anyone wants to volunteer for severance the time will come soon enough
You don't need to hope to get laid off when the whole company goes bankrupt. It is free-falling as we speak and unless another company buys them out Centene is going bankrupt.
@bb Liar
@OP That big beaty bill has just passed the senate. If you work in anything Medicaid related- your wish may come true later this year.
No one hearing anything?
I've applied to close to 200 Remote jobs online (~40% below my current title). Many of which pay close-to-slightly below my current salary. I'm a (low paid) Grade P. I've had 6 HR Interviews and 4 HM interviews.
With that dismal success rate, I'd still take a layoff. Doing your job well is a punishment at this company. It's pure burnout. Long weekends don't fix it. Vacation doesn't fix it. If anything I just come back to people wanting on my calendar and/or answers.
Definitely not alone! We were told a month ago the Medicare Appeals team are being outsourced to India. We were also told should be Q1 but it doesn’t seem it will last that long.
Just know you're not alone in feeling this way and that your sentiment is shared by others. Lay me off already!
