Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Listen up kids

Things change, always have, always will. I been at Allstate 22 years and seen it all. You wanna cry about how things used to be? Fine. But the world ain't going backwards for nobody. Either get with the program or get out. All this whining just makes the rest of us miserable.

As an agent of over a decade who worked with many departments and assisted regional management on the front line. we had great support teams. imagine being an agent and sending a HO3 to risk for non renewal because you find out it's a rental and it is denied. the names are in india. I can tell you RMBC when in the states was like a great police department. I feel like upper don't care and don't know the front lines. How about techincal support with AFCIC and you chet, they say send a WSR, they say auto close in 3 days, then nothing. Then chat again. Have the leaders ever read recent consumeraffiars allstate or wallet hub allstate?

Lmao. 22 years? And you think you know. What a joke! There were amazing years at this company. And I am sure many still feel that way today. And there are new employees with eyes wide open to possibilities. I was part of the 2020 layoff. Allstate is a good company. They don’t always retain the best leadership. That has been a lifelong thing they should look at. They have lost some really serious good leadership and retained some who never delivered results. All in the guise of “changing things” and wouldn’t stand up. Allstate lost the talent that drove growth. Actions and results were taken over by tests and preferential selection (So, here you are. I am shocked at some of the people still at Allstate. It is funny. Certainly not performance driven.

Gotta be one of these a-s clowns who posts things like 'I bleed Allstate blue' on social media. You know, the folks who mindlessly clap at every utterance from senior management at the townhalls.

As another poster said-it borders on satire to have someone who has grown comfortable and complacent playing the Allstate political game over 22 years pontificate to the rest of us about the need to change and adapt. Particularly when Allstate consistently fails to do it and is prevented from doing it by middle management hacks like this fine specimen here.

But hey by golly, quitcher whining. When the middle management NPCs torpedo the company's ability to be adaptive and responsive another year in a row and we decide to reimagine you off the payroll, you will like it and you'll like liking it. Because we bleed Allstate blue!

Use your illusion.

We have some real sociopaths at home office. And I suspect this insufferable clown is one of them.

Things don't go back to how they are they just change every 2-4 years. Nothing wrong with calling out how ridiculous this OBD operating model is while we wait for the next one to take its place. Worst one yet.

'All the whining makes the rest of us miserable' so I regularly read a website called 'the layoff' so I can look for the happy feel good stories 🤦🏻‍♂️

top tip...just let people complain/ vent/ process. That's about 70% of the content here. 25% trolling and 5% useful news.

@OP thank you finally a grownups opinion could not agree more. Those who whine are the last people who will actually leave.

There is something hilarious ironic about being pedantically lecture about change and adaption by someone who has stagnated at Allstate for two decades.

But okay.

As a 36 year agent - I decided to get the he!! out. Home office leadership has made it clear that the agency force is not the way of the future. Valuable support employees let go in favor of "AI". Commission cuts and significantly raised sales goals were another indicator to agents to get out. The future "program"" does not look viable nor realistic.
