Outsourced call center is at the center of the hack. Why would this company outsource its customer service and data knowing it will be stolen.

@g4 - Indeed. I've been gone for years now, but even ten years ago, when I was on calls I would actually have to resort to asking for someone who speaks better English to try and relay the point of the current speaker. It's a sad state of affairs.

The limited English proficiency of managers and employees the company is hiring from overseas is causing a lot of problems. The guy who is in charge of my team often gets flustered and resorts to insults when he is misunderstood. I always feel like my job is in jeopardy because he makes me out to be inattentive, when his communications are unclear because English is not something he speaks/reads/writes well.
I do not care that the company hires immigrants. It seems that they have no ability to engage in quality control for basic things like this though and it is getting worse as time goes on. I am in meetings with other people and I cannot understand half of what they are saying.
Has anyone else noticed this trend getting worse over the past 5 years or so?
Hacking 🤔 or Stealing … sometimes the goal of a decision is obfuscated.
The so-called leaders of these companies are greedy fools. They have ruined it for the next generation. Greed and mindlessness are a dangerous mix.
This and AI are going to be the ultimate demise of this joke of an organization.

why would they outsourced knowing the risks of hacking? Because outsourcing is still a lot less expensive …even taking into account any fines or ‘free credit monitoring’ they might pay for those adversely affected. They simply don’t give a $hit
And claims processing was offshored to India.wow
Social engineering is not India only thing right?
India is the capital of hacking. For companies to think that these people will not be infiltrating their business is wild to think about. It’s going to happen.
