Just curious what the thoughts are on how long after this round of Hunger Games till the next one. 3-5 yrs? Or longer.

Second a previous poster. Ramp up of ENGINE will be ongoing, past 2029. ABU was told current reorg is inclusive of first 2 waves of workflow hando overs to India.
That's up to Q2 2026. After that there will be a steady stream of people 'retired' from Chevron as more work gets transferred.
Mkinsey has already proposed it!
You can think of it this way: Every job gained in Bangalore, Buenos Aires, or Manila will approximately equal a job lost in the United States. Outside of acquisitions, Chevron doesn't grow so you can assume a "fixed pie" of sorts.

5 years before the next organized enterprise wide one.
I sat near a GM and heard repeatedly about 2026 reductions. I would bet my salary on 2026 layoff.
In a town hall LC was asked if there would be more layoffs in 2026. He said it depends on how we are competing against our peers like XOM. ELT is pre-blaming the workers for next year’s poor performance and will punish the workforce for the bad numbers. A viscous yearly cycle is about to occur.
Next year and every year after that until the current leadership is gone.
Doesn't matter.. there will be continuous transition of workflows to ENGINE, so it will be an ongoing phenomenon now..
Unless oil prices are at $100+ for an extended time, 3- 5 years seems like a reasonable estimate.
@OP next year for the foreseeable future.
