An ex-DFS employee here! Curious where the Discover Tech Leadership landed in the CapitalOne. Did Jason and his LT find a place yet?

I cannot agree more with the first reply. My case, a DFS employee, I am just waiting for the severance since I have another job inline, postponed the start date as much as I could to see if I get that gorgeous severance package. But as time goes by, it cannot be more evident that the layoffs will come in the form of a PIP. Also if you refuse to relocate, COF won't need to pay the severance as well.
@OP Crazy busy, everyday a critical fire drill. 1st - be assured - no changes. 2nd - don't worry - no changes in the next two years. 3rd - probably wont make any change decisions in the until 90 days. 4th - HR sends new updates on severance and COBRA info (just an FYI). 5th - when asked about why there are 1.4k COF job postings but DFS employees can't apply for them - uhh, uhh - standard practice... 6th - What about all of the remote employees that do not live near a "people place (office)" - uhh, uhh - will probably be moving to the COF model so will be offered to relo or gogo - UH OH! But, hey - what did anyone really expect?
To the previous post, yes, this is how they do it. They will use people up, long hours, intense deadlines, extreme pressure. Once they have taken everything they can from you and feel they do not need the bodies, you will be quickly redeployed.
There is a lot of shifting to get onto the Payments/Network area as soon as possible because of all the "work" being done to merge.
So many more to go. Discover employees who have been posting here have a rude awakening coming. Save your money and hunker down. A storm is coming.
No. Unfortunately, that level was the first to go.
