Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

CEO - out of touch

Wow, is all I can say from that meeting with the CEO. Is she that out of touch with reality? Will the board or anybody say anything to her about it, or are they all "Yes" men?

I have never been in a meeting before like that, that ki-led my morale more. Does she know that she came off horribly? Or does she even care? Stop being so selfish and please donate to PAC. Wow.

@OP I know this personally since I was one that was laid off. She's a beast. No wonder when you call customer service all you hear is an Indian voice. You can't even get transferred to an on shore representative so that you can understand the conversation if you call for a certain reason.

I didn’t have high hopes for Gunjan, but hearing her call employee concerns “nonsense” and “selfish,” while lying to us about employee engagement made me lose any hope that she might be a good leader. I have multiple friends at work, and none of them are happy, so her telling people to make friends just isn’t going to cut it.

Ironic that the holier than though comments on this page are coming from a man who set off a mutiny in his old department and kept all the “fu--y” (his words) women down, then led the RTO effort and spearheaded ongoing surveillance of employees. Kate should have fired you when she had the chance and you got caught with your hand in the cookie jar! What exactly do you do now?

@e7+1jth3rk0d where are your stats that back up? Because there are many articles that proof that remote workers tend to be lazier. In personal experience many of them do not even show up on time to virtual meetings, late to respond to messages/emails and don't deliver and perform basic tasks.

@e5+1jth3rk0d Nope you are wrong and very out of touch with the modern way of how a society works. For starters just by WFH it does not mean one is not working. Quite the opposite in fact given many remote workers are way more productive than their office counterparts. IF that were not true you would see management showing all kinds of numbers. Let that sink in.

Actually the only one out of touch is you. Welcome to being an adult. Yes you have to go to work and do work to get paid. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. This place is not for you and you're probably unqualified.

GUNJAN.
Let that name sink in.
You know it, I know it, everyone knows it...the reason WHY everything in American business and commerce is turning to SH!T.

We've been sold out.
So DO SOMETHING about it.

  • Anonymously email everyone on the BOD and in no uncertain words, directly quote this GUNt's words stated in the call, and let them know how repulsive, disrespectful and unacceptable her "professionalism" is toward those who she relies upon to even have a job to begin with.
  • MOVE your MONEY OUT of this bank, and into LOCAL CREDIT UNION ACCOUNTS.
  • Get another job somewhere other than this snake pit.
  • Get BASED.
  • Do not do business with TREASONOUS TRAITORS who seek to DESTROY the USA!

Go find another job lazy OP. This place is for the ambitious hard workers who don't while and complain about having to come to work like the rest of the world. You don't like it? Leave!

There’s no way they release the recording of the meeting. If they do, I’m recording it and releasing it on social media.

No way that ki-led your morale. Morale is high. Maybe if you had friends….

If you had any doubt that this tired old super regional bank has been lapped, struggling, lost, directionless and looking to get itself sold or merged, watch the townhall Q and A and the dismissive CEO attitude toward the people who make the big boat go, what competing shareholders would want any part of this leadership team, the mission is clear, get it lean, collapsible and get it gone.

"Gunjun made crystal clear what she expects of employees. If that isn’t for you, than maybe its time to leave. Nothing wrong with you finding a job elsewhere."

@a1+1jth3rk0d What makes you think I need your permission for it? You and the CEO are mere pawns just like me so know your place and choose your words as such.

I tell you what. I’m doubling down, if you want to cut headcount, you’re going to have to lay me off. Just because your an a--hole CEO, don’t mean sh-t to me.

Lmao look at this ta-d who coincidentally appeared on the forum the same week of this disaster of a town hall. Not coordinated or anything.

With all the stresses of the world right now, she certainly did not alleviate any of the pressures. Eat the rich!!!!

Oh she knows. This is a huge change of tone from prior town halls when she was merely the president. This is her way of creating a toxic bank environment to reduce headcount.
At this point, I wonder if AC is regretting all the praise he heaped upon her.
