Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

more layoffs today (1/27/25)

Spouse works there. 100+ more people were laid off today, including some in Dallas (where the Denver office will be relocating by 2026). WTF is wrong with this company?

I am a full time employee at TIAA who has been here for 26 years. I have never seen carnage like this. It’s awful and I am really worried about our participants being cared for by Accenture.

I have tried to request to be laid off but sadly they won’t let me.

OP @OP+1jjmje5q3 not everyone in Denver was given a relocation option to Frisco. Maybe 400 of the 1100 in Denver were offered Frisco and of that number about 100 were also given Charlotte as an option. The rest are going to Accenture (350-400) or being eliminated (300-400) with no relocation offer. Some this month or next and most of the rest this July and December.

To others saying this isn’t true I saw a few today that were let go both visually and via Teams/Outlook as “unknown”

These are probably the layoffs last week in Retirement Solutions.

My husband is currently in the Denver office. So. Many. Laid. Off. More are being laid off than are getting the option to relocate or take severance. My husband used to speak very highly of TIAA, not anymore. He said moral, even among mid-level management is dismal.
