Everyone sometimes needs a little venting, but the bottom line is that most of those who complain don't have the skills for getting a job elsewhere. They are investing more energy into complaining than into growing a skillset. Another issue is that after having spent some time at Seagate most people don't notice how much their skillset have atrophied.

Or they are waiting for the severance or early retirement package, yet remain unhappy because the company treats its employees poorly.
Or maybe they live in an area of high unemployment so that there are no real chances of gaining other employment.
Retirement is a construct that never existed in nature for thousands of years and will soon be that way again. The lady who rang up my order today looked 85.
@OP+1fYCWsZF The average age in Seagate are getting closer and closer to the retirement age. At 45 and above, there is no point to switch job. But true, no point to complain as well.
What level and amount of 3rd party degrees and skill certifications entitle me to offer complaints sir? Since I have accredited engineering expert skill certifications from 2 years ago, can I now complain? Just checking If I can get my complaint card punched so I can offer suggestions on how the company can improve. I can also present my C19 card if that now is required as well. Good job keep all those pesky ideas on how to improve the working environment to attract and keep talent down. Mediocracy and fear of retribution to keep people quiet should lead to great innovation and success from top down. Right on.
Skillset "atrophy" is not particular to any company. Employees have a responsibility to maintain their skills, not the company. It is true that some managers are not cultivating the capability from their employees but again, the ultimate responsibility is on the employee.
Yeah, why would anyone prefer things to improve here rather than just jumping ship?
