How many people are so tired of hearing and reading about the RTO delays? Branch employees are dealing with the public everyday and have never had a break from seeing anyone. For people going back to work to sit in the cubes in a controlled environment is much safer! How about targeting the RTO to the people it actually applies to and not the ones who have actually had to deal with this.

It's not a controlled environment - you obviously haven't worked in one. People violating mask rules at their desk coughing and sneezing, walking up on people, eating and drinking at all times to keep the masks off, not cleaning their cubes. I've seen d-mb people move their mask to cough and sneeze. At least front line has barriers!
Ummm, you are aware that branch employees have coworkers that they are 'next to' for 8 hours also, right? Plus exposure to the public?

Why? Half will be gone or moved to the branches that are remaining open next year. Half of the branches are going away - especially in small towns with more than one branch. 2022 is going to be a rough year for all of us.

I sympathize. If I was a branch employee, in the office this whole time, I wouldn't want to hear about the RTO whining either.
I’ve been in two offices that formally had cubes, they are gone. Ive also been to three other centers and they also don’t have them.. I also get information from corporate properties..

Many offices -especially in the 9 hubs- had their cube walls removed or reduced to half height. Even the execs in Charlotte only have a handful of 'first come first serve' offices, the rest are open cubes built in the same way. Discussing things other managers should not be hearing but sitting right next to 4 people that can hear them clear as a bell. If your office did not get the office 2020 facelift - you should consider why that may be.

Branch employees have to face the public. Thats your job that you chose. Most office employees do not. Many branches are closing in the next two years. Watch out, and plan your career moves accordingly.
That is not the case with our office. Are you going by interpretation of the rumors posted here, or did you actually go in to office to see?
I went in the office voluntarily Monday and Tuesday. It felt good to feel somewhat normal and actually leave the house and go to work
Set up an outlook rule to auto archive all subject x emails in another folder so you don’t have to see them in your inbox. Outta sight, outta mind. Problem solved.
How is it safer to sit in a closed environment on the floor of a crowded office building? What is the purpose when those workers have little to no interaction with the people sitting at the desk next to them to perform their job function?
Most interactions now are at least an hour in a small office type of environment

There are no cubes. Cubes have been taken out and replaced with no walls, in a call center type environment.. and sitting next to a person with covid for 8 hours is different than interacting with a person/customer for a few minutes…
Sounds like branch employees are overlooked and underpaid. A couple hundred bucks snd then taxes on that is not worth the couple of years having to actually show up to the public everyday of this pandemic. Gives off a bad vibe when the company acts like it is trying to protect workers but the frontline are put at risk nonstop.

Idk? When I get branch emails like about getting paid an extra couple hundred a paycheck and videos of of leadership making you dance videos as a thank you- I just delete it and move on with my life. shrugs
There are branch people that need to return to office? I’m confused
