Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Do they actually want us to feel miserable?

I think they really do want the employees to feel miserable. All the exaggerated criticism from the manager, all the humiliation and underpaid work, it serves them to make us feel like we don't deserve anything more.

My colleague thought for a long time that she could not find a better job because the manager always found a way to criticize her and exaggerate even her smallest mistakes. After she finally left, she got a promotion at the new company in record time.

@OP+1bpVfdwh, "After she finally left, she got a promotion at the new company in record time."

Do you really believe she got the promotion in record time because she was better & more qualified than someone that had been with that company for a long time?
Let's not be so naive. She was giving up the strange.

We have a manager who conducts the worst interviews when associates are trying for another position. She does nothing but point out the negatives and never expresses the positive. Basically she has the person already picked out for the spot and just goes through the motions. This company should conduct yearly evaluations, giving positive feedback to people to improve and let them know they are doing great. Our front end people are being pushed to the breaking point to get credits and upgrades. I wonder how many of them know the new mgt. spot is getting paid commission for their hard work? This is wrong. Pay the people for their hard word.
