Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC Journey

Got headhunted hard for three months and eventually relented, gave them a stupid number to join and thought nothing more. Got the call back to come in to interview...Alarm Bell#1

Got hired and arrived into a role that bore absolutely no resemblance to the one I'd been sold in interview. 2mths into the job the Account dude that had lobbied hard for my role popped his 'chute and took another role that wasn't so hard...Alarm Bell #2

  • dug in and gutted it out for a year stabilising change management, client interaction then Sally ran Smile and smashed the costs out of a bunch of account teams...me included.

Cue a frankly shambolic WFR programme (I've run these in prior jobs and honestly it was f###in' embarrassing to watch the ineptitude)

Get cut in June, PILON payment in July is wrong, complain to HR..."wait for August payroll and then we'll sort it out"

I can honestly admit this is the first (and last) role I took because the money was right...biggest mistake I've made in my career by a mile. What a clusterf##k

The OP must be Randy (Gar)gas guy, was a new vp in ams 1 or 2. Gone missing recently. Guess was not performing and shown the door (hope we didn't pay him millions!).

if your account was NOT making money, journey ends. You had a good ride for a year and all ride ends. Be happy you got paid the money you bargained for a year. So thanks for all the hard work.

Perfectly normal for DXC. I would expect no better from them.

Looked like he did not see the light and got blindsided.
