I would fly.

If it hadn’t wasted $43 billion on share buybacks…
This mad scramble for cash and the existential urge to “preserve cash in challenging periods” comes after this master of financial engineering
Instead of aircraft engineering – blew, wasted, and incinerated $43.4 billion
On buying back its own shares,
From June 2013 until the financial consequences of the two 737 MAX crashes
Finally forced the company to end the practice.
That $43.3 billion would come in really handy right now:
The sole purpose of share buybacks is to inflate the stock price because
They make the company itself the biggest buyer of its own shares.

Findings:
FAA management overruled their own technical specialists
in favor of Boeing management.
Boeing management overruled their own technical specialists
putting profit over safety.
Conclusion:
At this time (I Would Not Fly Max).
Answer, NO
https://www.thestate.com/news/business/national-business/article237153899.html
The Seattle Times - November 08, 2019
Unrelated to MCAS: But this issue details how FAA Management will and did ignore
it’s own Safety Regulation in favor of (Boeing’s Max Certification Process)
Managers at the FAA backed Boeing's contention that there was no cause
for concern despite objections from the safety agency's own technical experts.
The letter sent Thursday cites "serious, potentially catastrophic safety concerns raised by FAA technical specialists that FAA management ultimately overruled
After Boeing Objected. This adds doubts about the independence of the FAA.
These Regulations were put in place after the 1989 crash of United Airlines
Flight 232
At least six FAA specialists refused to concur with an agency paper that allowed Boeing to claim compliance "without implementing a design change".
And an FAA review panel in January 2017 rejected Boeing's position that design changes were impractical.
FAA Management Should be replaced along with the Boeing Board
@11OW0XWv-1sku
Our engineering team wanted to add the Stall and Over-speed Protection
Because our team is well aware of the fragility of AoA sensors.
The system was first flown in 1992 in testing for 777 development
The engineering teams were overruled by the management team
Max fits (MassAssassinExtraordinaire) management owns the Max
Now U Know
Most times people don't know the type of plane they are. Most dont read emergency brochure. Many dont read period
There was a time I overheard this guy trying to act smart his girlfriend by saying that plane is a 747 because it has 4 engines. So does that mean 777 has 7 engines? LOL
Society has short term memory and very soon the news cycle will change with something new to grab our attention
But still it was id–tic for the engrs to use only one AOA sensor, etc. And they also has a NIH in their brain if only those engrs just look at the 777 automatic stall protection function. Problem solved
Lastly. Hey if needed, rebrand it as 737Min. LOL

It seems the old saying about those not learning from history
Are Doomed to Repeat it (is true)
IMO and that’s all these replies are, so the answer will vary accordingly.
The answer is dependent on the knowledge of the consumer.
Is the consumer Passive, e.g. a person who takes the word of the vendor.
Knowledge is power, but it takes effort to research and reason a conclusion,
even then, it is still just an informed opinion.
Opinions are also formed with life experiences that create a belief system.
With that of the way, a shout-out to @11HNi8QQ-5nua
Is the Max a sound aircraft, Yes; the Max is a New Type deserving of that.
Does the Max need MCAS, No; does the Max need AoA sensors, No.
In that context the Max is a fine aircraft when free of its marketing gimmicks.
Without question I prefer to fly Boeing.
I do not believe in the Over Automation of flight controls.
I do not believe in Boeing management at the very top, Chicago Headquarters.
I have no trust in any member of Boeing’s BoD.
I have lost confidence in the FAA.
I trust most of my colleagues, not all.
Automation of flight controls using A0A sensors (Bad Idea) IMO, Research it.
XL Airways Germany Flight 888T; Qantas Flight 72;
An example of Overdependence on computers verses training, Air France 447
All are Airbus designs prioritizing flight controls to sensors.
IMO Boeing is chasing a bad idea in MCAS
I would not put my family on a Max aircraft (my informed decision)
Suddenly gyro stabilized attitude indicators are out and AoA sensors are in
(IMO) Silly Humans
Ex wife and step children they'd fly first class. Seriously this a stupid question as inexperience was the cause of those flights going down. When a pilot has learned the Max system from an app on the Ipad things like this are going to happen. Airbus has a plane a couple years before this that nobody has found, where was the scandal there? Faulty installs of equipment on motor vehicles happen all the time ans seldom are there national recalls when only a few are defective. I think it's the fact that free falling from a couple miles up doesn't sound that fun and its a horrible way to die. This will get fixed and while we will never forget this, life will return to normal.
I think the OP is a troll trying to stir the pot.
This is probably best left unanswered.
We all know what's going on, no need to get into the mud with the OP
Agree with @gdu one thousand percent
Sure I’d fly, and my kids. Realistically these are two isolated events that happened In countries that don’t necessarily take very good care of their planes. I’m not a fan of blaming maintenance or the pilots but both of them were unqualified to fly 737 max. This one situation where “ I ride a Harley, sure I can probably drive 18 wheeler With no formal training.” The principals are the same, start, brake, shift, throttle, turn But we can all imagine how that sh– storm resume turn out. The 737 max is still a very safe airplane, 737 max took thousands and thousands of flights With no incident. In 2014, 3660 People lost their lives around the world from accidents with 18 wheelers. But lets gonna drag Boeing through the mud Because another scandal is going on somewhere else we need to detract from that.
Do you let your wife and children ride in/ drive a car? They would be many many times more likely to die in a car accident even if MCAS was never fixed. You could throw out 20 other examples. If you’re really that broken up about this and think the plane is that unsafe then how do you reconcile with your conscious working for Boeing in the first place?
Children no, in laws, sure.
I'm only booking on Airbus.
Airlines will have cheap tickets for those are willing? and people will fly and hope for the best
