Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

All complaining...feel free to go to home

It’s been miserable and we understand. If you can’t find optimism in the change, can you pick a corner and hide there so those of us can help? You are dragging this down and the complaints are getting tiresome. No I am not an exec, or paid to write this or just paid a bonus.

We are a so called digital company , if we can't work from home (remotely) for anyone that doesn't need to touch physical hardware , then we are NOT a DIGITAL company!

@11N0j9xK-Ckix – "Only the mentally insane work in a DXC office."

That is NOT true. Some of us have been begging for years to work from home but our management keeps coming up with BS excuses. Probably 90% of my contract is able to work from home but some of us are forbidden. Why? Well, it isn't for security reasons! It is because certain management treats us like children and needs to feel dominant over us! If I worked from home I would be (somewhat) happier (but still looking for another job!).

@ @11N0j9xK-nps (MIKEY) - Sorry to hear that you feel bad about MIKEY being called MIKEY or NEW MIKEY....

For the benefit of the OP - all employees are working from home to escape the BS and so save $$$$$$$$$$ so Old and New Mike can save a buck or 2.

Only the mentally insane work in a DXC office.

So Mikey gets paid $100 million to leave DXC (his WFR payment). How many other non-executive yet competent steak cutting employees will receive a similar payout for years of loyal service? Zero, zilch, nadaq, nil, because Mikey is a drain on the company.

Do you think, even by the wildest stretch of anyone's imagination, that these posts are pulling the company down? "Feel free to go home" ??? Most of us are after getting F'ed by the CEO, his stupid hatchet company McKinsey & Company, which by the way is under Federal Criminal Investigation, and spineless leadership.

We WERE the ones trying to save this company.

We get canned, the CEO get canned - gets $30M (your and OUR bonus and salary increase money), and you want US to stop complaining.

Shame on you.

Don't be a tool.

I'm not complaining that I was WFR'd by Mikey and left the sinking ship being DXC. More to the point of being very delighted! Thanks Mikey, I will see you at Palm Beach for a beer.

“ If you can’t find optimism in the change, can you pick a corner and hide there so those of us can help?”. That is the dumbest statement I have seen on this site. What help are you thinking? My optimism left when wfr’s decimated my team. I was asked not to use vacation so we could pick up the slack. We had to turn away business from a large client because we don’t have the workers to do the work anymore and upper management is upset because of our revenue drop. F’ing id–t.

Post ID: @11N0j9xK-ctr Age has nothing to do with if you’re a good manager or not. Actually a mixture of old and new is probably best the old is a little bit more cautious and the new is ram it in as fast as I can. I’ve been on both sides of the equation and understand that it’s really a good policy to have both old and new

So, OP, in your world employees should sit quietly and take what ever c-ap the company shovels down on them? That’s why the world is so f—ed up, because id–ts like you kiss arse and think employees are slaves and have no rights. I’ve a better idea, why don’t you stop coming here spouting your nonsense!

Have you seen the share price trend? That stuff doesn't happen to a thriving company with a great future... How long before a larger company buys DXC so they can break it up and make bags of money? If you think that can't happen look at the history of large scale murgers. :/

It is now November 1, 2019. Can anyone confirm if the 10/31/2019 layoffs actually happened? If so, where? Please advise and thanks.

If OP doesn't like the site or any of the posts then don't visit the site - it's simple.

Yes the continued references to "Mikey" and "steak cutter" are tiring.

Come on OP, the site is called "the layoff" - did you really come here and expect happy clappy?

You might be OK but there are 10's of thousands of former employees left on the sc-apheap and just as many more worried that everyday is their last day.

When/if the company manages to fix the brutality and fear, you will see this site dry up - but at the very least thats April 2020 and between now and then we know thousands more will get their marching orders - just before Christmas.

No, this site is a symptom of the disease, not the disease itself.
