Based on the layoff demographics most affected are non white population in both the companies. Blacks and Asians are the most affected. In some cases H1-B also affected.

I can't think of a time in history where it was a good idea to derive your self worth from your company. That isn't a company's responsibility.

Unless you are self employed you are a fungible and expendable widget.

Some companies fake it better than others when it is in their interest.

Some Chinese were raided from AIG for Accenture employees placement. There is a proverb saying I put my own wretched hand on my head. That is what happened with the Chinese folks. They being good in mathematics showed how underwriting can be automated with AI. The management decided to displace these smart Chinese with cheap Accenture. Some high profile black leaders have also resigned due to derogatory remarks by their managers

This is an ignorant post. Whenever there are layoffs, the affected employees are given a document listing the demographics of the affected people, this is a legal requirement. And then if an employee looks at it and thinks that there is a remote chance of illegal discrimination, immediately shares it with a lawyer, who would then file a lawsuit immediately if there is even a whiff of discrimination there. AIG/Corebridge mat be a lot of things, but they aren’t ignorant of this.

Not from single layoff over a whole series of data that is available. There is a heavy inequality diversity gap happening here. Upper management has fu---d enough of non white employees with discrimination.

You can't draw a conclusion from a single layoff action.

To validate this allegation you need the racial make up of departments before and after as well as the data from all prior layoffs.

Blacks , Spanish, Indian and Chinese have been affected the most. All jobs shifting to Accenture. Accenture has been told not to select any laid off employee who applies for a job there.

Total BS. Please site the source of your "layoff demographics"? Thought so, you have none. Don't waste people's time. From what I recall, TOP 5 offices in terms of number of employees (in descending order) equal India, Philippines, Houston, London, Remote.

AIG may be many things but it ain’t stupid. The reason the verp was offered is because when the original rif list was generated, there were too many older employees on it and that would’ve lead to an age discrimination lawsuit. So to get around that, they offered verp. In the short-term it may have cost the company a little more but way less than a lawsuit.
