Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

This place couldn’t be worse (or toxic)

Get ready for mass layoffs in towers!

The lucky ones are going in the transaction, even if it’s zayo.Better than this toxic a$$ EMT and new ceo leader that all he wants to do is use his audit team as the gestappo!

@9ex I hear they are already planning on dumping some of the retained. But you’ll get a good severance.

Zayo isn’t any better. Toxic execs and continuous transformation. Be prepared for layoffs 2x per year.

@19r we’ve gone through a few CEOs since, being ousted isn’t a concern

@18w the relocate people to Houston idea was canceled because JB got ousted as ceo, remember? Now this new ceo probably won’t get ousted as he just started.

@18d yeah so same move. RTO or get let go and it’s less people now. They aren’t growing so how do you grow the bottom line when revenue isn’t growing. You cut cost.

@17z the Houston move was either move or get a severance. They ended up not paying the severance because the move got called off and everyone kept their jobs. Unless they left prior

@15r that’s what they did last time. Worked like a charm people leave voluntarily and they don’t need to pay them severance. Huge cost savings.

@119 seems to me they want to bring everyone back in office as a way to get them to voluntarily exit on their own.

RTO for Crown Towers for sure. No more Hybrid. Watch the video he made for the company. Says it in his face and everything in between. He’s just not shaking it up now because of the sale. Towers is heavy, inefficient, and lacks process. If you have answers, bring it up to your leaders now. No need to wait post sale, especially if you wanna save your jobs.

Is there any truth to the return to office rumor?

@b4 I want to say hopefully but that would be rather mean. Some of
them deserve it, others I honestly wish the best.

@ax basically that means fiber employees that aren’t going to zayo or eqt will be part of the “tower” layoff.

@ac same reason so many fiber people, that don't know sh1t, are staying with tower. It is all about $$$$. Crown no longer finds success in the people. It is a number crunching game owned by our lord activist. I have worked for other companies before that tried this and got away with it but in this case, I have a strong feeling they will crash and burn. Too much ego and not enough smarts.

I mean they hired a hr consultant of course they are going to lay tons of people off. They aren’t growing and need to cut to grow revenue

Can someone elaborate why tower employees would go to zayo a fiber company?

Sounds like all remote and smaller office employees will be asked to move to one of the four offices. Here we go again…
