Heard that ~2 out of every 10 mgmt employees within delivery, product/engg will be asked to take up individual contributor roles (good for them) and ~2 of the remaining mgmt will be considered for WFR.
Note: GW is very mgmt heavy now with more than required Mgr/SrMgr/Dir/SrDir/VPs and multiple ePMO PMs and their mgmt.

The worst I have ever had. A bunch of incompetent yes-men and women that have no idea what they are doing.

My team doesn't do anything productive and hasn't for it's entire existence. It's amazing we're still around.
Realignment within Impln Practice to form “squads”. There is a big restructuring underway with reduction in force as core objective. Getting into individual contributor role is a safe bet for now except for PMO folks. The new VP is planning to cut PMO group by ~30% as there are no new contracts.
The whole thing is just sad, Gainwell had a good mission. They overestimated too many middle managers with agendas and bought the BS they were selling.
This company is destined to fail. You can’t be failing at nearly every account that you have and still call yourself effective. The reputation of Gainwell is declining rapidly. Losing more business than they take in.
I can honestly say that I am NOT proud to work for Gainwell Technologies.
Also, doing layoffs in smaller waves does not warrant a mandated mass layoff notice to be posted online (at least there are few states it is mandatory if 20% or more are being laid off).
Best profit for Veritas will come from natural attrition when good employees decide to move on and not wait for layoffs.
My guess is the drip drip drip is to hide the layoffs from customers.
This is a good move for the company. As the OP noted, GWT has too many managers managing too little business. Even this change—which will reduce 40% of managers per the OP—may not be enough.
What baffles me is why the drip-drip-drip of layoffs? Understood that it takes time to hire people in India. But this change, and many others like it, are not related to India; they are about fixing the team here. Any insights?
That’s just proof that the leaders don’t know what they are doing.

Gainwell has been constantly restructuring since they became a company.
Their steady decline will continue. Right into bankruptcy.
She is not in GW mgmt employee. Consultants can be onboarded or let go anytime.
