Procter & Gamble restructuring plans: Buyouts, brand sales and a CEO shakeup

  • The last time P&G did a major restructuring, most of the jobs reductions were buyouts. Likely targets: Generation X, those born between 1965 and 1980.
  • So far, P&G has indicated it wants to make trims. Its last round of cuts started small but then got deeper after earlier rounds failed to achieve a turnaround.
  • Further change will likely occur at the top with a new incoming CEO and other management shifts.
  • The company said some brands might go, but it's not clear how many or which ones.

We had an employee retire. She spent 30 plus years just rotating every 2 yrs between GBS and IT. Couldn't answer questions and would always says let me get back to you, then turn around and have vendors answer it. Atleast 50% of PG can be replaced by d-mb proxy AI bots.

Useless talents who buddy up with their B5 B6 will be saved. Just remember, all you have to do is barely do your job. Most of the work is done by vendors anyways. Rotate to another team in 2 yrs. Bingo. You are now a lifer here. Where talent and skills don't matter. Just nod, say good job and repeat questions or say stupid things in meetings to come across as being engaged.

Nothing will happen because B7, B6 will just travel weekly around the globe. Collect airline and hotel miles for their yearly family vacation
B5s are useless because they don't align with any goals. They keep playing "I'm withing my budget. Don't bother me" game.

Yes. We have told to identify folks who qualify for early retirement, loners and experienced hires.
If you have friends at B5 B6 level you will be spared.
If you not a yes man and who doesn't know how to manage vendors you are out.

We are also looking at sites that can be slowly trimmed down

Warsaw has lots of back door dealings so that will under the microscope.
