2 year anniversary of the LSEG Microsoft partnership

Today marks the two-year anniversary of the LSEG Microsoft partnership. Except for excuse-laden blog posts and fake splash videos, it has been a startling lack of accomplishment that has failed to reach even the lowest possible expectations (especially for Workspace).

Here is to another 8 years of blazing new depths of underachievement and finding innovative new ways to deceive investors and lie about guidance.

Of course is a clown show! I remember during a workshop, NJD was giving a pompous speech and accused Zuckerberg(!) being full of BS because Zuckerberg was calling FB a community of 3.7b users!

Another joke he said after the first round of redundancies was that this was one off, it was an opportunity for the rest and he wanted to operate like a lean start up with a flat structure. A month later introduced 3 layers of management from his previous circus and later forced another bunch of colleagues out.

The best joke remains the quarterly OKRs, especially having an OKR about team satisfaction assigned to himself, for which he achieved a 130%, when he never aksed anyone or held a survey among team members.

If this isn't a clown show, what is it? It would be surprising if this team had delivered anything meaningful, except of bad jokes.

@7mqk+1vVhwVVV These senior “leaders” don’t realize how much of the industry is laughing at them the last two days. They are touting a Teams app that they didn’t actually build but used “their” data as if it’s a self driving car or nuclear fusion. They look like total clowns. The only question is if their board or exec co are apathetic enough to let the circus continue.

@7mqk+1vVhwVVV I remember meetings where workspace lead said frustratingly “Microsoft isn’t getting this thing out fast enough so we can put our name on it”, like a bully asking a smart kid to write his school term paper. LSEG is truly an “F-“ level organization now.

DB post on Linkedin "We are very excited to share that LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) and Microsoft ’s strategic partnership to co-develop next-generation solutions has come to fruition. Microsoft has announced the launch of Financial Meeting prep, a Microsoft product and Microsoft Teams application featuring LSEG Workspace data and workflow expertise. "

AMAZING! After 2 years in the partnership and he is excited for a Microsoft product that Microsoft built - Meeting Prep? I don't know about you,
I would have been depressed about my choices...

And one of his great choices commented, too. I am talking about the Group Head, LSEG Workspace Platform, and his only contribution to talk the talk. Great skill for sure, but they don't pay him just to comment for projects that had little to do : “We are thrilled with the positive reaction from our customers, who have highlighted the significant time savings and efficiency benefits they are experiencing with Financial Meeting Prep. By integrating market-leading data and analytics from LSEG Workspace with Microsoft’s generative AI capabilities, we are empowering financial professionals to prepare for client meetings more effectively and make more informed decisions.”

We will be thrilled once you tell us, how much money the team restructure did cost and once you give us some concrete data about the "success" of your initiatives.

What a disgrace! 2 years and their (lack of) leadership has delivered nothing! And all they care is their public image, especially now that Sat left.

@6ouz+1vVhwVVV: I also heard Sat is leaving/left. He only joined last year?

Nice chap, offered me some of his handmade crisps one Friday afternoon when I was camped outside his office. I declined as I was in a diet of sorts.

@5liz+1vVhwVVV I think the street will finally get the hint that something is not quite right. Last two D&A heads didn’t last 18 months each. New workspace lead (hired right before Satvinder) accomplishes nothing, and Sat get to hold the bag for that.
