Chevron will mandate vaccinations after FDA approval

Chevron has not ruled out mandatory vaccinations, MW dodged the question during the Townhall. They are waiting for the FDA to approve vaccinations this month. You heard it here first!

@hbzn, You’ll be the first person I come visit at your desk when I get back to the office. You can be assured I’ll be maskless too. I don’t have anything to fear about COVID, so you shouldn’t be either. Practically everything you hear about it is false or exaggerated information. Wake up, you little obedient sheep.

@hveh+1ciKoMk - Please don't come into the office without a mask and misleading people you are disease free. Your Unclean, stay away. Your not welcome. Go to somewhere conservative that will accept your kind and will respect your freedoms, like Afghanistan.

Chevron is a leader in energy companies with these mandates. Others will follow as delta fills hospitals and morgues.

It doesn’t worry me if Chevron mandates it’s employees to get vaccinated. I already acquired my convincing credentials. I didn’t have to shell out but $150 for an accurate looking vaxx card that will pass close scrutiny.

Full FDA approval coming Monday. Mike will lay down the corporate mandate soon after. He’s tired of you.

The vaccine turning the friggin frogs g*y and interdimensional space vampires are more believeable and interesting to discuss than the self-important BS on both sides that's spewn here.

Yeah, we know @6tiu. The way you see things, only sites that line up with your own view are the worthwhile ones. Here’s a clue: Any site, including this one, that offers the platform to post opinions freely are truly the ones that are closer to the people’s truth instead of the government and special interest’s version of the truth. Second clue: Always be a healthy sceptic when the government and special interest types are talking. They are not here to help you.

Comments posted here are nothing more than evidence of people’s boredom and need to vent anonymously/
This site is no better than any other social media site/
Throw a handful of salt at everything posted here and don’t take it so seriously/
I doubt this site is an accurate measure of the “pulse” of Chevron employee sentiment.

@5noe, once in a while, I notice a comment or a post on this site that makes clear and confuse sense. Your comment is absolutely one of the best views or opinions I’ve read on any subject. I’ve gone so far as to copy your words verbatim to my notes and will likely quote you to others. Thanks for saying it truthfully. I’m 100% in agreement.

Reality is showing that just about everyone who is already vaccinated will be required to receive another booster as the vaccination has very low protection against Delta & Lambda varieties.

Telling people they must get a vaccination that does little to protect them "just because", or because you are vaccinated is absurd. The vaccinated can still catch it and still spread it so pretending to be morally superior is rather amusing. If Covid like every other pandemic continues to spout variants they will increasingly diminish the likelihood of death until it is far lower than your seasonal flu strain.

Implementing a special badge color sticker is an invitation to class-action discrimination lawsuits. It is not hard to imagine that this WILL lead to a hostile work environment if we used the responses here alone about the unvaccinated as evidence. It will come out and it will be costly legal battle in the traditional sense and in court of public opinion.

To those on the fence about this, who have a real potential medical concern, remember that they want you to waive your rights because it protects them if something bad were to happen. They did not force you, you did it to yourself.

Regardless of mandating it or not, with Delta, the vaccine does not prevent transmission and as such they can not force people back to office anytime soon.

Go get vaccinated. If your values don’t match those of the company you work for, you’re free to leave at your own will rather than complain about it over and over again.

"99% of employees are vaccinated in the US so they won’t care"

You're a funny person that apparently cannot find, much less read our vaccination chart. If you were able to you'd know that our key downstream production facilities are not getting vaxxed no matter how much like a strawberry little DP becomes. You probably don't even care because you think the real work at Chevron is silly little make work activities.

The point with vaccine is not just survival, but also protecting the medical system and hospital capacity. This virus causes sever illness and fills up hospitals quickly making the medical system to collapse and many other urgent surgeries or procedures on hold. The anti Vax folks only think of survival rate not other implications, so short sighted!

Breakthrough cases are happening because the unvaccinated population allows the virus to mutate, so the original vaccine is not as effective anymore. If everyone would be vaccinated this would not be happening.

Post ID: @rtl+1ciKoMkO

You all know this will continue on forever. If the Vaccine worked there would be no breakthrough cases. We will all get it, some people a very small percentage less then a fraction of a percent will die but the vast majority will survive.

Why satire? You don't believe the #cases came down because of social distancing measures? And that most cases, hospitalizations and deaths are among the unvaccinated?
Are you a flat-earther and believe the media just wants to play with you and inject you with a chip?

They cannot force people back in office until a vaccine effective to Delta (no transmission) is developed or kids have access to vaccine. Without that most parents would not risk their children's life. This variant has been a game changer and based on what is going on, there is no way we will be back in office until at least Feb 2022, enjoy WFH!

Less then 50% of the US workforce is vaccinated. They should mandate and if refuse you should be terminated. Someone else can and will do the job of the unvaxxed.

Chevron doesn’t need FDA approval whatsoever. Makes no difference. They can mandate vaccines any time. Or mandate weekly covid testing for unvaccinated or for all. Chevron is free to do what is best for operations, production, cash flow and shareholder return. 99% of employees are vaccinated in the US so they won’t care.
