Maybe exxon does a hostile takeover. Could be they didnt like our asking price. Could work out well for the bean counters....probably not so good for some outrageously paid upper management.

2020 is fairly "recent". My point was simple: there's no way for any of us to know where the leak came from. Not from any individual, any department, or even which company.

Denbury doesn’t fire anyone.

XOM recently fired two people for leaking info to the press. So what makes you think the leak was internal to Denbury?

"Change of Control" documents are often changed by the company being acquired in order to look out for its employees. But it's also usually a point of negotiation between the two companies involved.

This would fall under “change of control” not severance so I think it’s slightly better.

They are out because someone here can’t keep their mouth shut.

Severance policies are in the company policies quick link on the home page of Denbury Now.

2 weeks per year of service with minimum of 12 weeks and max of 52 weeks.

How long would it take for what? To close? Maybe 3 - 6 months from the time it's announced. For moving people to Houston? XOM kept XTO in their Ft Worth offices for almost eight years after they bought them.

If this actually does happen, how long do you think it would take? Six months? Years?

You can find what you’d get in public docs. Depends on how long you have been here and your job level.

100% true
Most of Plano will be given a check, most of the field retained.
