Need to Clean

I hope that RG can see where the cuts need to happen. This company is running on 3 more times the VPs that is needed. Need to start with the GVPs and go all the way up to EVPs. I am sure the payroll savings would be much more than what us little folks are making. So RG...if we are all in this together and "we" all need to do more. Well I think you'll get the extra out of the rest of us when the executive suite is cleaned out.

Many VPS result in more "half-baked" initiatives being directed towards regional managers to execute through already over-burdened store managers and store staffs. Seriously, how can field build relationships with clients and customers when their time is consumed with tasks that add NOTHING to sales or profitability.

Based on recent history, they will cut staff and hire more VPs.

Now that's funny. Really...Strategic direction? What in the hell strategy have they been using so far? It has been working wonders. Seriously...these folks don't have a freaking clue. All they are doing is chasing their tales with one stupid decision after another. At some point...someone has to realize it's not in the execution...it's in the direction.

And look where all that great strategic direction from the VPs got us. The only future change they are planning is how to make the most money and profit with the least amount of operational employees. They have done nothing. Way too many executives and not enough people to do the work. You MUST be one of those hallowed VPs to even think that. I have never seen so many high level people in any company I've worked for in the last thirty years. Directors with one or none reports. VPs with less then ten reports. Let's pass out titles and bonuses to the execs and screw the OPERATIONAL employees who actually DO THE WORK. What strategic planning was GT doing when he dismantled the CT team and remade it? Or DG as prez?

We ask ourselves the same question.

You're kidding. You think they will eliminate their own Jobs? No, it's much easier to let the little guy go, the ones who are nameless to them. Most of the execs now have no idea who is actually doing the work. Gone are the days when VPs would walk thru Oakbrook, thanking us for the hard work and long hours. They don't know you, so they don't care. Easy to sign that layoff letter if they keep you anonymous.

The VP count will stay the same, MAYBE one will be gone due to retirement. But the rest of the cuts will come from the rank and file just like before. Keep running in that hamster wheel as they reduce head count yet again.

There will be cuts in the field and below VP's. They will continue unscathed. Bank on it

Really hope "not happening" is not true! I'm sure RG is much smarter than that! Sorry to tell everyone...we are a client based business. All divisions. FHEG...If we can't service the contracts...they will find someone who can. Wholesale...same thing and etc. Servicing contracts take quality teams...not VPs.
