Are there jobs that you can be slotted into? Or is it mostly bump someone, or go home? Curious to know.

The positions you are talking about are for the Specials Crew, not ABFS. But same goes for the rest.
If you're willing to move to Wichita, Ks........There will be at least 3 openings in ABFS. You have to be TKT qualified or able to pass the TKT test. One opening in January 2021, one opening in February 2021 and another in May 2021. One of these opening will be putting in for a VSP so a match can be found for anyone getting surplussed and wanting to keep their job.

Mostly digital techs in boca raton FL were surplused. They can bump state wide if they are willing to relocate. In most cases people aren't willing.
Which jobs were surplused
Picked up a job with UPS to assist with package delivery almost immediately. Turns out that my 21 years with company qualified me to do at least that. Maybe next year I can even drive the truck! So excited...
