Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Time to jump ship

Industry will be under heavy scrutiny after CEO ki-led. New bill by Warren and Hawley would force insurance companies to sell their PBM business. Tired of working for a company that has absolutely no morals. That video of the kids that Cordani showed was so cringe, no kid cares about insurance, Cordani probably blackmailed them or some $%#^. Disgusting.

This person has regrets over the awful things they participated in to stay in good favor with lord knows was morally corrupt team they are or were on. Talking about the legacy employees on Cigna had me lmao. Anyway, I been at this place ten years in the same product working my way to band 3. The money is garbage and I don’t get anything I advocate for. Why would they give me a reason to stay if they don’t want me there? So ima look for new jobs and coast until I find something in or out of Cigna. Don’t take life to serious and if your being abused by ur team be as annoying and outspoken as possible and document everything. We got this!

The truth is Cigna is a shell of its former self. The culture has changed. This place used to have career-long individuals working until retirement. Cigna used to care about employees and provided great benefits including a pension. Bit by bit, they have been reducing benefits and eliminating many of the career long employees. This is no longer a secure place to work anymore, but also the whole health insurance industry isn't a safe and secure job anymore.

The posts and commentaries on this site primarily demonstrate negative self serving cry- babies and freeloaders, who in no way represent thousands of past cigna employees ( during the 1970s through 2010s) who made significant positive outcomes for cigna (the subsidiaries) and customers. I wonder what mo--ns hired these people in the first place. Grow up and do your job, or don’t let the door hit you on your way out…

Everyone complaining don’t quit until you have another gig or get fired. Staying at a job you hate to pay ur bills is OK. Complaining is healthy. People who don’t complain now and then are braindead and are on her high horsing cause their to stupid to have empathy. I don’t hate my job totally, I hate my salary and am doing what I can to make it better. I’ll work and complain all I want and laugh at the brainwashed zombie Karen’s freak out about it lol

For all the complainers, you know you can quit at any time? It's so easy to whine and you get all the support from the others here. I did get this, my manager did that, I didn't get a raise. This is how companies do so well, the overwhelming majority of employees will never quit who they underpay because they are too weak to actually take control of their career.

We've had department-wide layoffs hanging over out heads for over a year. Seen several people go. Been told to bust our a-s so (maybe) we're not next - but I've just been doing less and less, hoping for that sweet severance! I can't help but think a lot of people here are over Cigna and have the same mindset.

Keep complaining all you want! Stay at a job you hate if you want. Quiet quit if you want. Do your thing. Be as annoying as possible if you want. It doesn’t matter, Cigna will be fine and you keep ur paycheck till u get a new gig or get fired and collect.

This forum has gone from a place to share info to a ‘doom posting’ group.

You should leave if you hate the company, its leadership, and everything it stands for.

Otherwise, you’re being a hypocrite.

That town hall pmo honestly. Benefits are So CoMpLeX that people don’t know what they’re paying for until it’s time to use them? And employers should be educating employees on their plan? Does he know we are living in corporate America? And shifting blame to providers for doing things incorrectly?

You are literally industry leaders. If you make the process simpler for ALL sides I’m sure business would flock to you and patients could understand what they’re getting into. I know it’s more complicated than that but they blamed everyone but themselves and the industry and called everyone stupid. Way to miss the fu--ing point, Cordani & ELT.
