Doubling Down On DEI

Today's version of "Daily Essentials" is filled with DEI.

  • VP of ESG shares the top things to know about our journey to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • There is now an Inclusion Learning Center on MyUniversity, because "to deliver on our mission, we must each harness the power of our entire global team, which is strengthened by diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives"
  • There will be a presentation "on creating a path to inclusion and innovation through psychological safety"
  • We can now "recognize inclusive behaviors with the new 'Because Together is Better' e-card"

I thought that most leading organizations were de-emphasizing DEI initiatives. But here we are, in the midst of a months-long cost cutting effort, doing this instead.

Leave me alone and let me do my work!

LOL - this doesn't bother me one bit.

The more off-task bull cr-p Cigna promotes, the more time I can spend in the unproductive world of sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows, and the less time I have available for work! Good stuff to dive into during our forced collaboration days

Load it up, Cigna! Your employee base needs even more!
