They announced a few people in India were let go. What about North America, are there going to be more layoffs?
@65w you referring to early retirement? I would expect one but i have yet to see it. December is when it has shown up in the past.
Lot of middle managers who collect status and not do any kind of technical work. Collect status and pass on. Which gets passed on again. So many status collectors and ppt folks. Argue and back scratch in meeting calls not adding actual value. Use the free time to run side business like restaurants or do second job or invest in market . Come to calls with 10+ year old knowledge and argue.
In most groups managers have announced that layoff is coming soon. Not sure when . Any idea when could this happen ?
Anyone got the email about volunteering for getting fired this morning? Sh-t look grim in my floor they already are running a lab of originally 10 people with only 3. most of people that can are opting for early retirement. Getting any funding for r&d is hard over 100usd what a joke of short term profiteering. I do know a lot of old folks at work that basically sit down and do nothing the whole day but those are a minority maybe 20% max and those aren’t the people that are currently leaving the team.
@5ye Layoffs in NXP India started last week.... Around 200 people expected to be grounded.
